“New year, new you!” How often do we hear, read, or see this phrase? It’s a cliché in every sense. The idea that the next day can wipe the slate clean and make us entirely different feels like a joke, right? My brain often whispers, “It can’t be that easy.”
But what if it it is?
Here’s the truth: our brains are powerful story-making machines. As the Stoic philosopher Seneca once said, “We suffer more often in imagination than in reality.” Often, it’s our own interpretations—not the reality of events—that cause us angst. A thing is just a thing until we give meaning to it.
If you are interested in learning about the things that mean something to you and how you choose to lead in your life then consider joining in our newest Community Circle group. In these small groups, we gather monthly to share a meal and engage in meaningful, single-topic conversations. Together, we grow as individuals and as a community.
WARNING: Joining a Community Circle means you will grow. You may face uncomfortable and wonderful truths about yourself. And you will also experience kindness, honesty, compassion, vulnerability, gratitude, connection—maybe even joy. You’ll gain insight about your core values, your courage, and better understand how you show up in the world.
We meet monthly from 5:00pm-7:30pm

If you’re curious, hesitant, or even feeling like this is a repulsive idea! Let’s talk. Email me, and we’ll set up a time to chat.
Community Circles are spaces to connect, share, and grow. I wholeheartedly believe in the power of spending time getting to know yourself and that’s exactly what Community Circles are here to help you do.

Science says, at the end of our lives, we tend to regret the things we didn’t do, not the things we did.
